Impact of Internet addiction on nonsuicidal self-injury in adolescents:A moderated mediation effect

Abstract
Objective:To explore the impact of internet addiction on non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)in adoles-cents,and to examine the mediating role of psychotic-like experiences as well as the moderating effect of dual au-tonomy.Methods:A total of 6,053 adolescents aged 13～22 were surveyed using the Internet Addiction Question-naire,Non-Suicidal Self-Injury Questionnaire,Dual Autonomy Questionnaire,and the Brief Community Psycho-logical Assessment Scale.Results:①Internet addiction significantly positively predicted adolescent NSSI(r=0.37,P＜0.001);②Psychotic-like experiences partially mediated the relationship between internet addiction and NSSI(β=0.61,t=35.60,P＜0.001);③Dual autonomy moderated the latter half of the mediation pathway"psychotic-like experiences NSSI"(β=-0.01,t=-11.17,P＜0.05).Conclusion:Internet addiction not only directly predicts non-suicidal self-injury but also indirectly influences it through psychotic-like experiences,while dual autonomy mod-erates this mediation pathway(latter half).关键词
