Review on the impacts of upward social comparison in social media on individual cognition,emotion and behavior
摘要
Abstract
This paper systematically analyzes the domestic and foreign research results on upward social compari-son in social media,and reveals its impact on individual cognition,emotion and behavior.Previous studies have shown that upward social comparison in social media has a negative impact on self-evaluation and cognition,and a positive impact on body dissatisfaction.The emotional effects mainly include positive effects depression,anxiety,appearance anxiety,social anxiety and jealousy.Behavioral influences mainly include positive effects on conspicuous consump-tion,impulsive buying,compulsive buying,social media addiction,social media fatigue,cyberbullying,and work with-drawal behaviors.关键词
