Abstract
In order to improve the high temperature performance of NRL(Natural Rubber Latex)mod-ified asphalt,PPA/NRL composite modified asphalt with different content of PPA(Polyphosphoric Ac-id)was prepared based on the synergistic mechanism of PPA.The viscoelastic properties,high temper-ature properties,low temperature properties,fatigue properties and workability of modified asphalt were analyzed.On the one hand,by using the dynamic shear rheometer and bending beam rheometer,temperature scanning,time scanning,frequency scanning and stiffness modulus tests were conducted to analyze the variation pattern of complex shear modulus G*,phase angle δ and rutting factor G*/sinδ with the change of temperature and time.The fatigue performance of PPA/NRL composite modified as-phalt was characterized by the corresponding loading times when the complex shear modulus de-creased to 50%of the initial value.The low-temperature performance of PPA/NRL composite modi-fied asphalt was characterized by the ratio of m value to creep stiffness modulus S.On the other hand,the viscosity of PPA/NRL composite modified asphalt was tested by Brookfield viscometer to evaluate its workability.The test results show that with the increase of PPA content,the rutting factor value in-creases,which means that the high-temperature performance of asphalt is improved.The linear rela-tionship between the logarithm of rutting factor and temperature proves that the increase of PPA con-tent also helps to improve the temperature sensitivity of PPA/NRL composite modified asphalt.In addi-tion,the fatigue life gradually improves with the increase of PPA content.The addition of PPA will re-duce the low-temperature performance of PPA/NRL composite modified asphalt.The viscosity of PPA/NRL composite modified asphalt increases with the increase of the content of PPA.In order to ensure its workability,the content of PPA should not exceed 1.1%.The research shows that the use of poly-phosphoric acid as the composite material of natural rubber latex is an effective way to realize the road use of natural rubber latex,and only a small amount of PPA can endow better pavement performance to modified asphalt.关键词
