Transient simulation and analysis of pilot main steam safety valve performance

Abstract
For the problems of reliance of design of the nuclear power pilot type main steam safety valve on experience,long development cycle and high cost,the transient simulation model and method suitable for pilot type main steam safety valve were established by using dynamic grid technology combined with valve disc dynamics equipment,which has realized accurate simulation of the valve performance.On this basis,the change of transient flow field during valve opening and closing was analyzed.The influence of piston friction and Kv value of pilot valve on the opening time was discussed.The research shows that the deviations between the simulation results and the test ones are within 10%.When the inlet pressure of the pilot valve is 6.17 MPa,the reseating of the main valve can be fully achieved.A large number of vortices generated above the valve stem and in the piston cavity are the main sources of valve vibration and noise.The opening time increases with the increase of friction force and the decreases with increase of Kv value of the pilot valve.This study provides an important calculation method for optimization design of the pilot main steam safety valve,which can greatly reduce the development cost of the valve.关键词
