Effect of Different Fibers on Mechanical Properties of High-strength Lightweight Aggregate Concrete and Its Micro-Mechanism Research

Abstract
To improve the mechanical properties and flexural toughness of high-strength lightweight aggregate concrete,the effects of basalt fiber,fine polyvinyl alcohol fiber,imitation steel fiber,polypropylene fiber and coarse polyvinyl alcohol fiber on the compressive strength,splitting tensile strength and flexural strength of high-strength lightweight aggregate concrete were studied.The load-deflection curve was obtained by four-point bending test,and the effects of five kinds of fibers on the flexural toughness of high-strength lightweight aggregate concrete were compared and analyzed based on the toughness index.The surface morphology of the fibers before and after damage was observed by scanning electron microscopy,and the strengthening and toughening mechanisms of different fibers were explained.The results show that the incorporation of fibers improves the mechanical properties of high-strength lightweight aggregate concrete,mainly improving the tensile properties and flexural toughness of high-strength lightweight aggregate concrete.The coarse polyvinyl alcohol fiber improves the splitting tensile strength and bending strength by 83%and 220%respectively,which makes the failure of high strength lightweight aggregate concrete change from brittleness to high ductility.The improvement of fiber on the tensile properties and toughness of high strength lightweight aggregate concrete is proportional to the degree of fiber surface damage.关键词
