摘要

Abstract

To investigate the feasibility of applying traditional mortise-tenon connection to modern timber structures,a dovetail beam-column joint with Cunninghamia lanceolata,containing mortise heads,tenon mouths,wooden plugs,and wooden wedges was designed.The failure mode,stress development,and moment-rotation relationship of the dovetail beam-column joint were analyzed using ABAQUS software.By analyzing the force mechanism of the joint,the relationships among geometry,physics,and equilibrium of the four compression zones of the mortise head were established.The equations for the initial stiffness and ultimate bending moment were derived.The theoretical formula for the dovetail beam-column joint based on a power function model was proposed.The verification results show that for the initial stiffness and ultimate bending moment,the diffferences between the calculation by this formula and the finite element analysis results are 6.46%and 2.09%,respectively.The formula can be used to predict the ultimate bearing capacity of dovetail beam-column joints.
