Abstract

Chenglingji Area is the most frequent flooded area in the lower-middle reaches of Changjiang River,and is the key flood control protection object of reservoir group in Changjiang River.At present,the huge reservoir group of Wudongde,Baihetan,Xiluodu,Xiangjiaba and Three Gorges has huge flood control capacity,which has significantly changed the flood control pattern of Changjiang River Basin.In this study,we systematically summarized the flood control requirement of Chenglingji Area,and briefly reviewed the achievements of flood control compensation level of Three Gorges Reservoir to Chenglingji Area in different stages,and then analyzed the further research points and flood control storage of cascade reservoirs in the lower reaches of Jinsha River,and finally explicated the favorable conditions for further improvement of this control level.The results show that after the water level of Three Gorges Reservoir reaches the Chenglingji flood controlled level of 158.00 m,on the basis of 40.93×108 m3 re-served flood control storage,there is still 30×108~60×108 m3 remaining flood control storage of cascade reservoirs in the lower reaches of Jinsha River,which creates a favorable condition for further improvement of the flood control compensation level.
