Abstract
The effects of a combination of rose/iris/lily active ingredients on the skin barrier function and water content were investigated by using a unique 3D full-thickness reconstructed baby skin model.The influence of treatments with active ingredients on the moisturizing and barrier function of baby skin model was investigated,in which the histological and immunobiological analyses of filaggrin,claudin-1,caspase-14 and hyaluronic acid were performed.Compared with the adult reconstructed skin,the reconstructed baby skin showed a thinner epidermis with smaller corneocytes,which validated that the constructed 3D baby skin model could simulate the structure of human skin very well,and it was of scientific significance to use this model for efficacy testing.For the 3D baby skin model treated with the combination(at a concentration of 0.005%)of rose/iris/lily active ingredients,the expression of filaggrin,claudin-1 and caspase-14 was significantly increased by 190.5%,224.5%and 135.0%,respectively.Therefore,this composite displayed the potential to be applied in cosmetics for infants,children,and sensitive skin.关键词
