Abstract
The improvement effect of coumarone resin(CR)on the properties of ethylene propylene diene monomer(EPDM)material for a nuclear power plant was investigated.Various methods,including tensile tests,rotational rheometer analysis,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and thermogravimetric analysis(TG),were employed to analyze the influence of CR content on EPDM properties and its underlying mechanisms.The results show that the introduction of CR significantly affects EPDM properties,with a noticeable decrease in the scorch time(T10),positive curing time(T90),and minimum torque(ML),while the difference between the maximum and minimum torques(ΔM)and the highest torque(MH)increase.When the CR content is≥6 phr,the elongation at break,tear property,fatigue property and thermal property of the samples are improved,but the tensile strength of the samples decreases after irradiation.With the increase of CR content,the hardness gradually decreases and the density remains almost unchanged.The study demonstrates that the incorporation of CR can significantly enhance the processing performance,melt stability,and mechanical properties of EPDM materials,providing practical value for the development and application of diaphragm materials for nuclear power plants.关键词
