Abstract

Tobacco,a significant economic crop in China,has its growth and quality influenced by various factors.This study aimed to investigate the impact of different drought resistance and root promotion measures on soil properties,tobacco root growth,nutrient ab-sorption,and tobacco leaf yield and quality,provide valuable insights for tobacco development and guide future research towards en-hancing early development and improving tobacco leaf quality.This study emploied several drought resistance and root promotion methods for comparative experiments.The effects of water retention agents,matured cake fertilizer,three torch microorganisms,and high carbon base fertilizer on different tobacco crops were examined under identical conditions.From 30 days to 90 days post-trans-plantation,the agronomic traits of tobacco,plant biomass,root vitality,economic traits of tobacco leaves,and chemical components of tobacco leaves post-baking were compared and analyzed.The results showed that the tested drought resistance and root promotion technologies could effectively enhance the comprehensive level of tobacco agronomic traits and increase potassium accumulation in to-bacco leaves.Among the tested technologies,matured cake fertilizer and high carbon base fertilizer exhibit the best chemical compo-nent coordination.Microbial agents demonstrated long-term effects,promoting root vitality and improving the economic traits of tobac-co leaves.The sensory quality of tobacco leaves post-baking with matured cake fertilizer was found to be superior.This study under-scored the importance of microbial agents and matured cake fertilizer for flue-cured tobacco.It provides a scientific basis for the fea-sibility of enhancing the appearance quality of tobacco leaves using drought resistance and root promotion technology in flue-cured to-bacco production.
