Digital Economy,Green Innovation and Green Total Factor Productivity of Enterprises

Abstract
Starting from the perspective of green innovation,this paper empirically examines the effect and internal mecha-nism of urban digital economy on green total factor productivity of heavily-polluting enterprises by taking the listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2011 to 2022 as samples.The results are shown as below:Digital economy has a significant role in improving the green total factor productivity of heavily-polluting enterprises,and has a stronger role in promoting the state-owned enterprises and heavily-polluting enterprises in small and medium-sized cities.Green innovation is an important transmission mechanism for the digital economy to drive the green production of heavily-polluting enterprises,but only the num-ber of green invention patent applications has an intermediary effect,and increasing green utility model patents is not an effective way for digital economy to improve the green total factor productivity of heavily-polluting enterprises.The promotion effect of digi-tal economy on the green total factor productivity of heavily polluting enterprises shows a nonlinear feature of increasing"marginal effect",and the relationship between the two is constrained by the threshold of green innovation.With the increase in the number of green invention patents and green utility model patent applications,the promotion effect of digital economy on green total factor productivity of heavily-polluting enterprises shows nonlinear characteristics of enhancing effect and weakening effect,respectively.关键词
