Evaluation Index System Construction and Empirical Measurement of Common Prosperity

Abstract
Achieving common prosperity is an essential requirement of socialism with Chinese characteristics.On the basis of defining the basic connotation of common prosperity,this paper constructs the evaluation index system of common prosperity from the two aspects of"prosperity"and"common",then uses the entropy method to measure China's common prosperity index from 2001 to 2019,and finally further analyzes its changing trend and driving factors.The results go as follows:Although China's common prosperity level has fluctuated slightly since 2001,it generally shows a rising trend,with an average annual growth rate of 6.58%in the common prosperity level.Meanwhile,from the perspective of internal composition,both of the prosperity level and the commonness level,as well as the sub-index level have generally improved,contributing to the improvement of common pros-perity.In addition,in terms of the primary and secondary factors driving the change of China's common prosperity level,the con-tribution rate of the prosperity level during the sample period is 65.61%,much higher than 34.39%of the commonness level,indi-cating that nearly two-thirds of the improvement of China's common prosperity level during the study period is contributed by the improvement of the prosperity level,and the contribution rate of different sub-indexes varies in different periods.关键词
