Abstract

The Changing gas field,a typical low-permeability lithological gas reservoir,is characterized by strong heterogeneity and poor physical properties.As the development of the gas field has entered its middle and late stages,the gas wells have been witnessing decreased production or even shutdown due to plugging in the wellbore and reservoir.In response to this issue,extensive research on the mechanisms and causes of the plugging was undertaken,leading to the identification of three types of gas well plugging:corrosion and scaling,sand production,and water lock damage.Consequently,key technical countermeasures were devised,including in-wellbore chemical descaling and coiled tubing sand flushing,deep acidizing,and water lock release in the near-well reservoir.These measures have been applied on a field scale,with 752 revitalized gas wells from 2018 to 2022 resulting in an average annual increase of more than 1.4 million m3 and a total annual increase of over 1 billion m3,effectively tackling the issue of decreased production or shutdown caused by plugging.The output-to-input ratio exceeds 6.0.This offers effective technical support and assurance for the improvement of the plugging removal technology system in the Changqing gas field and the plugging removal and resumption of production in other similar gas reservoirs.
