Application value of interleukin-6,procalcitonin and hypersensitive C-reactive protein detection in the diagnosis of early neonatal infection

Abstract
Objective To investigate the application value of interleukin-6(IL-6),procalcitonin(PCT)and hypersensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)detection in the diagnosis of early neonatal infection.Methods A total of 125 neonates with infectious diseases admitted to the Department of Neonatology,People's Hospital of Longhua,Shenzhen from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the infection group,and 125 neonates with non-infectious diseases were selected as the non-infection group.The levels of IL-6,PCT and hs-CRP in the two groups were compared.Receiver operating characteristic curve was used to analyze the diagnostic efficacy of IL-6,PCT and hs-CRP alone and combined detection.Result The levels of IL-6,PCT and hs-CRP in the infection group were higher than those in the non-infection group(P<0.05).The area under the curve of combined detection was larger than that of single detection,and the sensitivity and specificity were higher than those of single detection(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of IL-6,PCT and hs-CRP has a high value in the diagnosis of neonatal infection,which is conducive to the early diagnosis of the disease and provides certain reference value for clinicians.关键词
