Abstract

Slope failure is a progressive process.The erosion conditions such as rainfall,freeze-thaw cycle,and long-term creep possesses regional progressiveness from the surface of the soil to the in-side,and the process of slope failure is also a deformable progressiveness from partial strain to trans-fixion.This paper proposes a delamination strength reduction principle combining the regional progres-siveness and the deformable progressiveness.This principle introduces time-variable to quantify the velocity relationship between osmosis under erosion conditions and intensity attenuation effect,and comes up with the following concepts of attenuation spread ratio(ASR)and attenuation hysteresis ra-tio(AHR).The evolution of plastic yield zone,the displacement characteristics and position of po-tential slip surface with different AHR can be investigated under this principle.The research shows that the instability of partial slope surface and the integral instability of slope lead to the final slip zone.It is composed of the partial slope surface instability and integral slope surface instability,in ad-dition to the slip soil enveloped by the slip surface mentioned above.With the increase of AHR,the instability of partial slope surface is much more competitive to the integral instability of slope,and the position of slip zone is closer to the slope surface.When the AHR is greater than a certain threshold,a double-shear band failure mode will emerge.
