Influence of Interface Inclination Angle on the Mechanical Properties of Dry and Saturated Sandstone-Concrete Composites

Abstract
In order to study the influence of different interface inclination angles on the strength and deformation characteristics of sandstone-concrete composites under two water content states,uniaxial compression tests were carried out on the composites with different inclination angles in dry and saturated states.The results show that the peak strength of the composites in both states firstly increased,then decreased and finally increased with the increase of inclination angle,and the maximum and minimum values were obtained at the inclination angles of 30° and 60° respectively;the elastic modulus of the composites with different inclination angles in the saturation state was slightly higher than that in the dry state,while the peak strain was less than that in the dry condition,and the curve was approximately W-shaped;the overall slip cracks appeared in the 60° composites,and the rest of the specimens were mostly damaged by overall tension,showing the continuous mechanical characteristics of the composites with less number of splitting cracks in the saturated state than that in the dry state;the curves of the crack closure compression stage of the composites in both states were fitted,and the evolution trend of the axial crack closure strain of the composites could fit the evolution equation of the axial crack closure strain well.关键词
