Abstract
Objective:To explore the value and feasibility of shear wave elastography(SWE)in the evaluation to the musclar tension change during stimulation of Zusanli acupoint by low-intensity pulsed ultrasound(LIPUS),with a view to providing quantitative assessment information for LIPUS in the study of peripheral neuromodulation.Methods:A total of 16 SD rats were randomly divided into two groups,the tibialis anterior muscle group(8 rats)and the gastrocnemius muscle group(8 rats).LIPUS was applied to stimulate Zusanli acupoint of the rats for 20 min,and the tension changes of tibialis anterior muscle and gastrocnemius muscle were continuously monitored by SWE.The differences in 5-HT levels before and after stimulation were determined.Results:Compared before stimulation,the shear wave velocity(SWV)and Young's modulus of the tibialis anterior muscle were significantly higher at 3 min after LIPUS stimulation(both P<0.05),and those of the gastrocnemius muscle were significantly higher at 13 and 14 min after LIPUS stimulation(both P<0.001).Serum 5-HT level was significantly higher than before stimulation(P<0.05).Conclusions:SWE can provide an objective basis for evaluating the changes in muscle tension induced by LIPUS stimulation of Zusanli acupoint,and provide a richer information for the study of meridian effect by LIPUS.关键词
