香椿优树子代测定及优良家系的选择
Determination of progeny of Toona sinensis superior trees and selection of superior families

Abstract
[Purpose]Differences in the growth traits and genetic variation of progeny of Toona sinensis superior trees were investi-gated to select superior families suitable for popularization in Western Hubei.[Method]The performance and genetic variation of growth traits[diameter at breast height(DBH),tree height,height under branches,crown width and volume per plant]of 10-year-old progeny of T.sinensis superior trees were compared by random block design,based on which superior families were selected through principal component analysis and comprehensive evaluation.[Result](1)There were significant differences in the diame-ter and tree height of 1-year-old progeny of 35 T.sinensis families(P<0.01),and the heritability of tree height(0.938 4)was slightly higher than that of ground diameter(0.818 5),indicating that seedling growth of different T.sinensis families was controlled by heredity and demonstrated abundant genetic variations.(2)Ten-year-old progeny of T.sinensis superior trees also varied signifi-cantly in DBH,tree height,height under branches,crown width and volume per plant.Six families(No.12,13,26,38,42 and 43)had variation coefficients greater than 40%in DBH,10 families(No.4,8,10,12,15,23,42,43,YL075 and YL083)had variation coefficients exceeding 25%in tree height,and 4 families(No.13,26,38 and 43)had variation coefficients greater than 100%in volume per plant.(3)The 35 families were graded into 4 categories of poor,medium,good and superior by comprehensive evaluation,and 5 families(No.43,26,YL082,38 and 2)were evaluated as superior families.They had averages of DBH,tree height and volume per plant at 10.09 cm,9.52 m and 0.046 4 m3,which were 20.02%,7.35%and 37.72%higher than those of the 35 fami-lies,respectively.The genetic gains of DBH,tree height and volume per plant averaged at 17.26%,6.16%and 40.08%,respectively,with overall selection rate of 14.28%.[Conclusion]Different T.sinensis families varied significantly in growth traits with abundant var-iation and obvious genetic gain;the 5 superior T.sinensis families selected had advantages of higher genetic gain and rapid growth,which can be used as an excellent material for the modification of low-efficiency forests in Western Hubei.关键词
