《晓庵新法》对《崇祯历书》交食算法中迭代运算的改订与推广
Xiao'an Xinfa's Changes and Promotion to the Iterative Calculation in the Eclipse Calculation Method of the Chongzhen Lishu

Abstract
In the Chongzhen Lishu(Chongzhen Reign Treatises on Calendrical Astronomy),which was compiled based on European astronomy in the late Ming dynasty,the eclipse calculation method was very important and comparatively complex,and became an important subject for Chinese scholars in the early Qing dynasty who studied the Western methods.Taking the iterative calculation in the eclipse calculation method of the Chongzhen Lishu as the entry point,this article,based on previous research,studies and discusses the understanding and modifications of the Western methods by Wang Xichan,one of the representative Chinese scholars in the early Qing dynasty.Firstly,this article analyzes the iterative calculation in the process of calculating true oppositions and conjunctions and the time of the middle of solar eclipses of the Chongzhen Lishu.It is found that the relevant calculation method was derived from Tycho Brahe's Astronomiae Instauratae Progymnasmata.However,in order to reduce the complexity of calculations,the Jesuit missionaries made some modifications to Tycho's related method.Then,through an in-depth comparison and analysis with the relevant content in the Xiao'an Xinfa(Xiao'an's New Method),it is discovered that Wang Xichan not only revised the original two iterative calculations in the eclipse calculation method of the Chongzhen Lishu,but also extended the use of iterative calculations to compute the moments before and after the maximum solar eclipse,such as the first and last contacts of eclipses.Although for some reasons,Wang Xichan's revisions and developments of iterative calculations in the eclipse calculation method of the Chongzhen Lishu were not widely accepted and adopted at that time,some of his ideas for calculating the first and last contacts of solar eclipses still had an influence on the later official calendar namely Yuzhi Lixiang Kaocheng(Imperially composed Thorough Investigation of Calendrical Astronomy).关键词
