Abstract
In the development process spanning over two thousand years,ancient bronze drums saw changes in their form,decorations,and societal and cultural functions due to shifts in eras,regions,and user groups.The casting techniques also underwent modifications based on traditional practices.This article,from the perspectives of bronze drum casting techniques,materials,and lead isotope ratios,summarizes and analyzes the casting technology characteristics of various types of bronze drums,such as Wanjiaba type,Shizhaishan type,Lengshuichong type,Lingshan type,Beiliu type,Zunyi type,Ximeng type,and Majiang type.It also traces the evolution of casting technology in the early stages,mature period,development phase,and popularization phase,and correlates it with changes in the societal and cultural functions of bronze drums,including factors like drum size,wall thickness,pad placement,alloy proportions,decorative production methods,and casting system setup.关键词
