Abstract
In order to systematically identify the pollution characteristics and sources of oil-based cuttings,the content of heavy metals,polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)and petroleum hydrocarbons were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry in a shale gas block in southern Sichuan.The results showed that the heavy metal content of white oil-based cuttings was generally higher than that of diesel-based cuttings,but the differences were mainly due to the different stratigraphy and additives,while the oil content of oil-based cuttings mainly depends on the separation effect of the solid control system of the drilling platform,and all of them were little related to the selection of base oil.The total PAH content in diesel-based cuttings(28.73 mg/kg)was significantly higher than that in white oil-based cuttings(6.92 mg/kg),but both were mainly low-toxic 2~4 ring PAHs.The former mainly originated from diesel fuel and was dominated by pyrene(Pyr),naphthalene(Nap),phenanthrene(Phe)and anthracene(Ant).The latter mainly originated from the thermal transformation of white oil under high temperature ground conditions and was dominated by pyrene(Pyr)and anthracene(Ant).In general,there are some differences in pollution characteristics between white oil-based and diesel-based cuttings,and white oil has better environmental performance.It is suggested to reduce the use of diesel-based drilling fluids in the future production process,while increasing the research and development of new green drilling fluids.关键词
