Abstract

Aims:This paper aims to improve the measurement accuracy of ultrasonic gas metering in flight time difference.Methods:The flight time difference was roughly calculated using the parabolic interpolation method.The integer estimation was adjusted based on spectral weighting;and the fractional part was adjusted based on the Lagrange delay filter.Results:In the simulation experiment,the designed delay was 50 ns;and the delay calculated by the algorithm was 50.17 ns.The fluctuations were smaller than those of the existing methods under different signal-to-noise ratio conditions.In the flow test experiment,the flow curve was consistent with the theoretical curve;and there was no problem of full-cycle staggered waves.In high and low temperature experiments,fluctuations were in the range of 1 ns.Conclusions:The proposed method effectively avoids the error of full-cycle staggered waves,reduces the theoretical interpolation error to a high-order remainder term,and has the ability to adapt to high-low temperature environments.
