摘要

Abstract

To study the effects of different sediment burial depth and burial time on the growth and develop-ment of Alternanthera sessilis(L.)DC.in the water level fluctuation zone of Nanwan Lake reservoir in Xin-yang,Henan province.Three different treatments(4 cm burial depth,8 cm burial depth and 12 cm burial depth)were set up,and the same sediment substrate was used as the control.The survival number,plant height growth,leaf length and width,and dry weight of biomass of Alternanthera sessilis were measured.The experimental results showed that light and medium burial had no significant effect on the survival rate of Alter-nanthera sessilis,while heavy burial reduced the survival rate of Alternanthera sessilis;the promotion effect of medium burial and heavy burial on the height and leaf length of Alternanthera sessilis was more obvious than that of light burial and no burial,and showed that heavy burial>medium burial>light burial>no burial;com-pared with no burial,both burial treatments reduced leaf compared with no burial,both burial treatments re-duced leaf width,and leaf width showed light burial>medium burial>heavy burial;compared with no burial,light burial concentrated more biomass in the roots,while medium and heavy burial concentrated more biomass in the stem and leaf parts.It is suggested that Alternanthera sessilis enhanced its adaptability to sediment burial by accelerating stem growth and changing leaf morphology as well as adjusting biomass distribution.
