农户数字素养提升能降低小麦储存损失吗?
Can improving farmers' digital literacy reduce wheat storage loss?
摘要
Abstract
In order to investigate the impact of digital literacy on grain storage losses in China and reduce grain losses by fully utilization of information technology.The data are from a survey on 645 Chinese farmer households in 2022.The instrumental variable method was employed to investigate the impact of improved digital literacy among farmers on wheat storage losses.The results indicated that:The average level of wheat storage losses among Chinese farmers was 1.79,and the highest level was observed in the northwest region.The enhancement of farmers'digital literacy significantly reduced wheat storage losses,and its impact is mainly evident among the farmer households with higher income levels and abundant labor resources.The research findings remained robust even after addressing endogeneity bias.Therefore,the government should improve information infrastructure construction,accelerate the popularization of digital application skills,enhance the digital literacy of farmers,so as to reduce storage losses for farmers and strengthen the foundation of food security comprehensively.关键词
