Abstract

Chinese fir is an important fast-growing timber species in China,with a wide range of uses,which has an important role in artificial afforestation.Cultivating high-quality and strong seedlings is an important measure to achieve fast growth and high yield in Chinese fir forests.Grafting is the main technical means for constructing Chinese fir seed orchards,which is often used for fast propagation of Chinese fir.Based on a large number of domestic and foreign literature,this paper summarized the basic principles of grafting from the aspects of physiological and biochemical mechanisms and molecular regulatory mechanisms.It focused on the research overview of Chinese fir grafting in the past 60 years from three aspects of grafting methods,rootstock selection and post grafting management.It pointed out the shortcomings of current research on Chinese fir grafting and the direction of future development,in order to provide references for the preservation of Chinese fir germplasm resources,fast propagation and promotion of superior varieties.
