Abstract
Carbon capture and storage is currently the mainstream large-scale carbon emission reduction measure in the oilfield development process.Using the information of drilled wellbore and known formation,the associated gas(such as CO2)with no economic value extracted from the reservoir is reinjected into the water formation of the region to achieve energy saving,emission reduction,cost reduction and efficiency increasing.When formulating a CO2 reinjection plan for the E15 oilfield in the Pearl River estuary basin,the newly drilled development wells were highly deviated wells.This study used targeted pressure test depth design,selected sampling stations based on pressure test results,and used formation sampling while drilling technology for data collection.The results show that the pressure gradient regression results obtained by using high-precision pressure test while drilling data can effectively display the gas-oil contact of the reservoir and determine the CO2 distribution;pressure test mobility information can effectively help evaluate the physical properties of the reinjection water layer.High-purity CO2 gas samples and high-purity water samples were obtained in the production formation and reinjection formation can provide favorable formation sample support for subsequent CO2 gas property analysis and reinjection evaluation.This study is the first application of formation sampling while drilling technology in a carbon capture and storage project,and it verifies the feasibility and reliability of formation sampling while drilling technology in the field of carbon capture and storage.关键词
