Abstract
By adjusting the contents of Mn and Zn elements in the alloy,the effects of Mn and Zn on the color and anti-discoloration performance of a new nickel-free brass are studied.The colorimetric parameters of the alloy are obtained using a colorimeter,and the metallographic structure of the alloy is observed through an optical microscope.Mechanical properties are tested through hardness tests,and the anti-discoloration performance of the alloy is obtained through saltwater corrosion tests.Finally,the formula for the new nickel-free brass is determined by comparing its color with that of BZn18-8 brass.The experimental results show that an increase in Zn content can reduce the red component in the alloy and increase the yellow component,but has little effect on the anti-discoloration performance of the alloy.An increase in Mn content can bleach the color of the alloy,but can also reduce the anti-discoloration performance of the alloy.关键词
