摘要

Abstract

Snow cover is highly sensitive to climate change,so it is of great significance to study the change of snow cover for regional water cycle and ecological environment evolution.Based on remote sensing data and river system distribution,the Tibetan Plateau is divided into 12 sub-basins.The temporal and spatial variations of snow depth,snow coverage and snow line altitude in the Tibetan Plateau and its sub-basins are analyzed.The results are as follows.Firstly,the snow depth on the Tibetan Plateau showed a clear trend of decreasing from 1979 to 2020,with a spatial increase from the central region to the surrounding area.The average snow depth in the Amu Darya River basin is the highest for many years,followed by the Indus River basin.Secondly,the average snow cover rate on the Tibetan Plateau from 2000 to 2015 was 29.66%,showing a gentle downward trend.The snow coverage rate in the Indus River basin is the highest,reaching 39.83%,fol-lowed by the Tarim River.Thirdly,the variation range of snow line altitude on the Tibetan Plateau is between 4700m and 5000m.The overall height of the snow line in summer is relatively high,reaching its maximum value in August.The order of the altitude of the snow line of each sub basin from large to small is the Brahmaputra River basin,the Indus River basin,the Hexi River basin,the Ganges River basin,the Yangtze River basin,the Salween basin,the Amu Darya River basin,the Tarim River basin,the Qaidam River basin,the Inland River basin,the Yellow River basin,and the Lancang River basin.The research results are of great significance for water resource management and sustainable development of ecologi-cal environment in cold regions.
