Study on Laser Penetration Welding of TA4/Q235 Layered Composite

Abstract
In order to solve the problem that it's difficult to achieve reliable connection of titanium/steel layered metal in fusion welding process,because brittle IMCs are easy to produce and cause cracks in the joint.The laser penetration welding process of TA4 titanium and Q235 steel layered composite was explored,and the process was optimized by adding intermediate layer T2 Cu.The results show that under appropriate process parameters,the joints of TA4/Q235 laser penetration weld are wineglass shaped.Significant elemental exchange occurs in the upper and lower parts of the weld,initiating cracking defects.The Ti-Cu-Fe welded joints obtained after introducing Cu as an intermediate layer were well formed.The energy spectrum analysis shows that the addition of Cu effectively blocks the direct contact of Ti and Fe and avoids the generation of brittle IMCs.The weld grain is refined to a certain extent and the cracking phenomenon is significantly reduced,improving the weldability of TA4/Q235.The optimal parameters for the experimental conditions were laser power 3000 W and line speed 2.0 m/min.The results have a positive exploratory effect on the application of Ti/Fe composite plates in aerospace,petrochemical and other fields,and have important engineering application prospects.关键词
