Han Xu's Experience of Treating Senile Insomnia from the Liver
摘要
Abstract
Professor Han Xu believes that senile insomnia is closely related to the liver failing to govern free flow of qi,liver blood defi-ciency,and liver yin deficiency.The main pathogeneses include:The liver failing to govern free flow of qi,transverses the spleen and stomach,leading to liver qi stagnation,resulting in fire,phlegm,blood stasis,intermingled phlegm and blood stasis.Liver blood deficien-cy leads to a soul without a home.Liver yin deficiency leads to yin deficiency and fire excess.The treatment of senile insomnia is to soothing the liver,nourishing the liver,clearing the liver as the main method,supplemented by life maintenance.Professor Han's com-mon methods for the treatment of senile insomnia syndrome differentiation are as follows:For soothing the liver and relieving depression,regulating the emotions,Minor Bupleurum Decoction is often used as the basic formula for modification.For clearing heat,resolving phlegm and invigorating the spleen,self-made Heat-Clearing and Phlegm-Resolving and Spleen-Invigorating Decoction is adopted.For clearing the liver and relieving fire,invigorating the spleen and tranquilizing the mind,Modified Danzhi Free Wanderer Powder is adopt-ed.For activating blood circulation and removing stasis,moving qi and resolving phlegm,Baihe(Bulbus Lilii),Zhenzhumu(Concha Margaritiferae Usta),Hehuanpi(Cortex Albiziae),Shouwuteng(Caulis Polygoni Multiflori),Taoren(Semen Persicae),Honghua(Flos Carthami),Chuanxiong(Rhizoma Chuanxiong),Banxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae),Zhebeimu(Bulbus Fritillariae Thunbergii),Zhiqiao(Fructus Aurantii),Zhishi(Fructus Aurantii Immaturus),Jiegeng(Radix Platycodonis)are often used in the basic formula for modifi-cation.For nourishing the liver blood,calming the heart and tranquilizing the mind,Modified Four Substances Decoction is often used.For nourishing yin and reducing heat,clearing heat and removing annoyance,baked Zhenzhumu(Concha Margaritiferae Usta),Hehuan-pi(Cortex Albiziae),Shouwuteng(Caulis Polygoni Multiflori),Wuweizi(Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis),Baihe(Bulbus Lilii),Fushen(Sclerotium Poriae Pararadicis),Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae),Danpi(Cortex Moutan),Zhizi(Fructus Gardeniae),Danggui(Radix Angelicae Sinensis),Baishao(Radix Paeoniae Alba)are often used in the basic formula for modification.In addition,Professor Han also expresses that the liver failing to govern free flow of qi,and liver yin deficiency are the important reasons for the repeated at-tack of senile insomnia,so it is necessary to regulate yin and yang for balance;that emotional factors are the key to promoting the aggra-vation or relapse of senile insomnia,so it is necessary to ease emotions,reconcile qi and blood.关键词
