Abstract

In order to improve the stability of open-pit soft rock slopes in open-pit coal mines,based on the actual engineering situation of the non working slope in Baiyinhua No.2 Open-pit Coal Mine as a typical inclined soft rock slope,the geotechnical engineering numerical simulation software FLAC3D was used to reveal the morphological and dimensional effects of slope stability,establish the relationship curve between the critical slope angle and the critical length of weak layer exposure,and ultimately design the spatial geometry of non-working slopes in favor of the stabilization of Baiyinhua No.2 Open-pit Coal Mines.The results of the study show that the stability of the open-pit mine slope can be effectively improved by reasonably controlling the exposure length of the weak layer and the key indexes such as the excavation slope angle,and the finalization of the excavation slope angle of the non-working slope of Baiyinhua No.2 Open-pit Coal Mine is 45°,and at this time,the critical length of the weak layer exposed at the bottom of the pit is about 176 m,so that the slope can satisfy the safety requirements.
