摘要

Abstract

Interdisciplinary learning plays an important role in promoting subject integration,enhancing complex problem-solving skills,and developing studentcore competencies.While there is an active exploration of interdisciplinary learning in school education,museums,despite their natural advantages in organizing and implementing interdisciplinary learning,still face limitationsin educational practices.This study takes the interdisciplinary science popularization course"Explore Shanghai:The Adventures of Puppets"in Shanghai Natural History Museum as an example to explore the design pattern of implementing interdisciplinaryproject-basedlearning in natural science museums.The main focus of this course revolves around the driving question of"How can we creatively showcase the predatory and defensive strategies of animals by using Shanghai-style puppetry,a local cultural art form?".The course incorporates various activities,including role-playing,experiential learning within the museum,scriptwriting,design and production,scientific performances,and impact evaluation.By integrating arts and humanities in compulsory education along with sciences and language disciplines,this course aims to mobilize design thinking and innovative thought processes,cultivate a sense of inquiry and teamwork among participants,and enhance their ability to integrate multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills to solve problems.
