Comparison on Immune Effects of Synchronous Multiple-point Injection with Goat FMD and PPR Vaccines at Different Doses

Abstract
In order to explore a method and dosage for synchronous vaccination for goat foot-and-mouth disease(FMD)and peste des petits ruminants(PPR)at grassroots level,64 goats were randomly selected and divided into 4 groups:one group with routine vaccination(control group)and three experimental groups with synchronous multiple-point vaccination(groups of 1.0,1.2 and 1.5 doses),respectively,to compare the immune effects of different methods for FMD and PPR vaccines.The results showed that no immunological stress reaction was found in the vaccinated goats after the above injections with the two vaccines;and no statistically significant difference was detected among the positive rates of immune antibodies against FMD-O/A virus and PPR virus in each group for 14,28,42,56,70,100 and 160 days after vaccination at different doses(P>0.05).On the 14th day after vaccination,the positive rate of antibodies against FMD-O virus in goats in the group of 1.2 doses was higher than that in the groups of 1.0 and 1.5 doses;on the 100th day after vaccination,the positive rate of antibodies against FMD-O virus in goats in the group of 1.5 doses was higher than that in other two experimental groups;on the 14th day after vaccination,the positive rate of antibodies against FMD-A virus in goats in control group was 87.5%;and that of other groups all reached up to 100%and lasted till on the 100th day.The positive rate of antibodies against PPR virus reached 100%in each group on the 14th day after vaccination and remained till on the 160th day.In conclusion,synchronous multiple-point vaccination with goat FMD and PPR vaccines could be conducted at the experimental doses,specifically,the doses of 1.2 and 1.0 were optimal for the vaccines of FMD and PPR,respectively,and better immune effect should be monitored on the 14th day after vaccination.Grassroots animal health workers were thus provided with a reference to efficiently and conveniently implement vaccination of FMD and PPR vaccines in goats.关键词
