摘要
Abstract
Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is the leading cause of chronic liver diseases,mainly related to insulin resistance caused by metabolic syndrome(such as dyslipidemia,obesity,and type 2 diabetes mellitus).In recent years,increasing evidence has suggested that many endocrine diseases may also be associated with NAFLD,including hypothyroidism,polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS),growth hormone deficiency(GDH),and hypogonadism.These endocrine diseases could not only promote the development and progression of NAFLD but also aggravate the clinical characteristics of NAFLD.Here,we summarized the updated evidence on the epidemiology and pathophysiology of NAFLD in different endocrine diseases.Further,we aim to remind readers to understand and pay attention to endocrine disease-related NAFLD that may be encountered in clinical practice.关键词
