Abstract

In recent years,continuous basalt fiber has received widespread attention both domestically and internationally due to its green production processes and excellent performance.However,the heterogeneity of basalt raw materials has become an important reason limiting its development.Basalt reserves are huge and widely in Sichuan Province,which is distributed in Huili,Emei,Yanyuan,etc.,possessing great potential for application and economic value.However,the chemical composition of basalt varies greatly from place to place and the current quality evaluation standard of basalt ore is not uniform,which affects the development and utilization of basalt fiber.By summarizing the current research status of basalt raw materials for continuous fibers in Sichuan Province,this paper sorts out the rock characteristics,mineral characteristics,and chemical composition of basalt ores in different regions,and analyzes the chemical composition indicators of basalt using by some domestic and foreign production enterprises and researchers,and provides services for the screening of basalt fiber raw materials in Sichuan Province.Research has shown that the ore used as raw materials for basalt fibers is mainly composed of dense block basalt,part of porphyritic basalt as well as a small amount of fine-grained gabbro;mostly with a porphyritic structure,matrix with intergranular cryptic structure,blocky structure;the chemical composition of the wide range of variations,most of them have a high Fe and low alkali characteristics.
