Mechanism and Research Progress of Novel Lipid-lowering Drugs for Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Diseases

Abstract
Atherosclerotic diseases are one of the main etiology of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.The formation of arterial patch leads to the narrowing of vessel and the blood flow disorder of circulation system,which leads to tissue hypoxia and leads to a series of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.Severe narrowing or patch rupture to form thrombus can lead to occlusion of circulating vessel,resulting in tissue necrosis,which increases the risk of death from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.At present,the treatment of atherosclerosis is mainly aimed at the reduction of blood lipid level in circulation,and statins are still the first-line hypolipidemic.Although statins have been proven to have good efficacy and wide applicability,due to their dose-dependence and side effects,a considerable number of patients have to stop using them when their blood lipid levels do not meet the standards recommended by the guidelines.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop replacement treatment drugs in addition to statins that can reduce blood lipid levels and have good efficacy and tolerance.This article mainly reviews the mechanism of action and clinical research progress of new hypolipidemic for atherosclerotic cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,in order to provide a new diagnosis and treatment idea for atherosclerotic lipid-lowering therapy.关键词
