Design and Research of Dual Potential Focusing System for Photomultiplier Tubes
摘要
Abstract
The collection efficiency of the focusing system is a key factor affecting the performance of the photomultiplier tube.A dual potential focusing technique is proposed,which further focuses the elec-tron beam generated by the photocathode through secondary focusing.The COMSOL Multiphysics soft-ware is used to simulate and optimize parameters such as potential difference,focusing electrode diameter and height,resulting in a collection efficiency of over 92.1%.The prototype tube verification shows the gain of the photomultiplier tube is increased by 14.76%.关键词
