Visualization Analysis on Research Literature about TCM Treatment for Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease from 1998 to 2023

Abstract
Objective To perform a bibliometric analysis on the research of TCM treatment for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD);To understand the current research status and hotspots in this field;To provide references for related studies.Methods Literature related to the treatment of NAFLD with TCM was retrieved from CNKI from January 1,1998,to August 30,2023.Excel 2010 was used to analyze the publication trends,and CiteSpace.6.R6 software was utilized for co-occurrence analysis of authors and institutions,as well as for co-occurrence,clustering,and burst analysis of keywords.Results A total of 444 articles were included,with the number of publications first increasing and then decreasing.Key authors included Zhang Yixin,Han Xue,Peng Jisheng,among others.Major research institutions were Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine,Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine,Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine,etc.High-frequency keywords included"fatty liver","Chinese materia medica","experimental research",etc.In recent years,research hotspots in this field have focused on molecular mechanisms,signaling pathways,gut microbiota,lipid metabolism,liver depression and spleen deficiency,TCM compound formulas,and other research aspects.Conclusion Currently,the research on TCM treatment for NAFLD is still in a vigorous development stage,with high attention to related studies.The main hotspots are the research on TCM compound formulas and their mechanisms,but there is less collaboration between research institutions.关键词
