Abstract

Objective:To study the chemical constituents from the twigs of Morus nigra.Methods:The ethyl acetate fraction of Mo-rus nigra twigs was isolated and purified by HP20 macroporous resin column choromatography,normal-phase silica gel,Sephadex LH-20 and semi-preparative liquid chromatography,and the structures were identified by modern spectral methods(UV,IR,MS,NMR).Re-sults:Nine compounds were isolated from the twigs of Morus nigra and identified as 2',4',2"-trihydroxychalcone-4"-O-β-D-glucoside(1),quercetin(2),2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde(3),taxifolin(4),3-O-methylquercetin(5),3-O-methylquercetin-7-O-β-D-glucoside(6),morin(7),quercetin-3'-O-β-D-glucoside(8),quercetin-4'-O-β-D-glucoside(9),respectively.Conclusion:Among them,compound 1 is a new chalcone glucoside,compounds 1,5,6 and 9 are isolated from Morus nigra for the first time.
