Abstract

Photosynthesis is the basis for the formation of crop matter and yield.In order to clarify the effects of foliar spraying with different concentrations of potassium fulvic acid on the photosynthetic characteristics of maize seedlings,potassium fulvic acid solutions with concentrations of 500(H500),250(H250),100(H100),50(H50)and 0(CK)mg/L were prepared.The results showed that H100 treatment significantly increased the net photosynthesis(Pn),transpiration(T),stomatal conductance(Gs)and intercellular CO2 concentration(Ci)of maize seedlings leaves by 37.74%,81.04%,93.41%and 61.98%respectively compared to CK.Compared with CK,H100 significantly reduced leaf water use efficiency(WUE)and increased transpiration ratio(Tr),but not significantly compared with H50 and H250.H100 also reduced stomatal limitation(Ls)by 19.08%compared to CK.The treatments of H50,H100 and H250 increased the SPAD value.However,the differences were not significant compared to CK.In conclusion,the concentration of potassium fulvic acid at 100 mg/L was more conducive to promoting the growth and development of maize seedlings,as H100 treatment was beneficial to reducing Ls and significantly increasing Pn,T,Gs and Ci in the leaves of maize seedlings.
