黑帽悬猴人工育幼与丰容效果
Study on Hand-Rearing and Enrichment of Black-Capped Capuchins
摘要
Abstract
During 2019-2021,three black-capped capuchin infants were extremely weak due to lack of milk from their mother in Chengdu Zoo.However,they survived because of hand-rearing.During hand-rearing process,the effects of various enrichments on behaviors of the black-capped capuchin infants were observed.The results showed that keeping two black-capped capuchin infants were raised in different cages with only sound and visual interaction,but no physical contact,which could not play a good role in social enrichment.Baby rattle was better than fluffy toy for calming infants to make them easier for reintroduction.However,when the animals were only given other types of enrichment without physical contact,they tended to have more or less abnormal behaviors in the stage of hand-rearing.These abnormal behaviors tended to diminish or disappear after reintroduction.If the infants of different primates were kept in the same cage,they did not exhibit abnormal behaviors and were easier for reintroduction.Therefore,it is suggested that the infants should be provided social enrichment with physical contact as much as possible in the stage of hand-rearing.关键词
