摘要
Abstract
Singapore and Shanghai have been acknowledged for their high-quality public transport services.Most studies focus on the technological factors contributing to their success.This paper,instead,highlights the social and cultural factors in the evolution of public transport institutions and the management of urban mobility.Through literature review and comparative studies,this paper claims that prioritizing public interests,promoting meritocracy,and dynamic governance are three key cultural values shared by Singapore and Shanghai.They fundamentally impact the formation of the two cities'transport strategies.This result underscores that the social and cultural legacies inherited from the past still determine the city's future.Acknowledging the differences in the social context is critical to successful knowledge communication and urban development.关键词
