悬泉汉简新见钱券考释一则
Textual Research on a Payment Voucher Recorded in Xuanquan Bamboo Slips of the Han Dynasty
摘要
Abstract
Amongst the bamboo slips recorded in the Xuanquan Bamboo Slips of the Han Dynasty(Ⅱ),there is a payment voucher numbered I90DXT0210①:3,which detailed a specific case of transaction at the time.The missing words in the bamboo slips should be"wen(文)"which means"to pay in cash".In terms of its content,the payment voucher has it that a Bailiff of Revenue(Shaonei Sefu,少内啬夫)named Fu paid 975 coins to Meng Yannian,a civilian who took the place of the Xuanquan Stable(悬泉厩)named Mengzi,an official mainly responsible for the breeding and management of horses as well as for transpor-ting passengers.It is believed that the"five passengers"as described in the payment voucher should refer to the five common la-borers on their journey from Guangzhi County to the Xuanqian Zhi(悬泉置),a postal station of the Han Dynasty,and that the 975 coins should be the special funds offered by the county revenue officials to Mengzi for his errands,namely transportation of passengers.In addition,judging from the use of payment vouchers in the Qin and Han Dynasties and based on the content of the text,we may arrive at the conclusion that the payment voucher mentioned above is a form of contract in triplicate(三辨券).关键词
