Abstract

The slamming forces on offshore platforms for different inclination angles and clearances under the action of irregular waves were investigated through physical model experiments with scale of 1∶50,and the relationship between incident wave significant height,relative plate length,platform clearance and platform inclination angle and wave slamming pressure as well as slamming force was discussed.The results showed that the peak values of slamming pressure and slamming force on the platform under the action of irregular wave were random.The action period is consistent with the wave period after Fourier transform,and there are obvious higher-order components.The slamming pressure of the five inclination platforms decreased with an increase in the relative plate length,that is,the slamming force caused by longer wave was larger,and the slamming force caused by shorter wave was small.The statistical analysis of the results of the physical model test,the regression formula of the wave slamming force of fixed platform under the action of irregular wave was given by taking into consideration of the effects of relative plate length,relative plate width,effective wave height,relative platform clearance and structural inclination.The formula can provide wave slamming force quickly.The relationship of slamming force in regular waves and irregular waves were also analyzed.
