Optimization and Applied Research of Deep Foundation Pit Support Design in Large Municipal Engineering Project

Abstract
The optimization of deep foundation pit support design often emphasizes the direct cost reduction com-ponent dimensions and quantities in municipal engineering,while neglects the indirect benefits resulting from shortened construction periods.Based on the deep foundation pit project of CSO storage and enhanced treatment facilities of Huangxiao River in Wuhan,Hubei Province,the optimization strategies were elaborated from aspects of structural planning,support systems,bracing systems and dewatering in this paper.These strategies broke the traditional"procedural"design and optimization approach.Open working conditions was created for deep foundation pit support to make it easier for each construction operation.The construction time was saved from multi-dimension,which resulting in significant economic,social,and environmental benefits.关键词
