Abstract
[Purpose/significance]As the largest AI policy center in the United States,the Center for Se-curity and Emerging Technologies(CSET)takes China as its main research object to comprehensively ana-lyze the AI competition between the two parties.Therefore,it is necessary to have an in-depth understanding of its AI research,which can provide reference for judging the U.S.AI policies on China,and implications for the construction of Chinese think tanks.[Method/process]Literature analysis is used to examine the AI research results of CSET,dissemination channels and influence.[Result/conclusion]CSET's research results mainly include translations and original research.The translations focus on tracking official Chinese docu-ments and think tank reports,while original research mainly focuses on competition with China,covering a variety of AI research topics such as talent building,chip control,research status quo,military applications,investment assessment,and governance.CSET disseminates its research results by establishing public ser-vice fellows,delivering testimonies in Congress,holding public events,launching a media campaign,and has impacted the U.S.government's decision-making.Think tanks in China should strengthen AI research based on national strategic needs and establish more AI think tanks with decision-making impact.Meanwhile,think tanks should give full play to their roles in international communication,sharing stories of China's scientific and technological development in an objective way to reduce the"noise"in the U.S.government's deci-sion-making environment towards China.关键词
