Abstract
Ginseng Radix et Rhizome Rubra is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb.In this work,an aqueous extract of Ginseng Radix et Rhizome Rubra was prepared,and the saponin content and the components therein were analyzed by HPLC.The application in cosmetics was also explored.The results showed that,the saponin content in Ginseng Radix et Rhizome Rubra extract was 4.8 mg/mL.The extract contained a variety of ginsenosides.Using the LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells as inflammation model,the extract with a mass fraction of 0.5％～2％could inhibit the production of NO,inhibit the expressions of interleukin 8(IL-8)and tumor necrosis factor TNF-α,and promote the expression of interleukin 10(IL-10),which were all dose-dependent.Moreover,the extract could reduce both the degranulation of mast cells and the release of histamine,as shown in the inflammation model of C48/80-induced P815 mast cells.In addition,the extract with a mass fraction of 10％had no adverse effect as confirmed by eye irritation test(HET-CAM test).Therefore,Ginseng Radix et Rhizome Rubra could be used as an active raw material for personal care products.关键词
