Abstract
Objective Investigating the aesthetic effect and clinical efficacy of the combination of compound cortex phellodendri fluid and fire acupuncture in the treatment of acne vulgaris.Methods 120 patients with common acne in author's hospital from December 2021 to December 2022 were selected and divided into a control group(60 cases)and an observation group(60 cases)according to the random number table method.The control group was given fire acupuncture treatment and the observation group was given compound cortex phellodendri fluid combined with fire acupuncture treatment.The clinical symptoms improvement,clinical efficacy,inflammation level[interleukin-17(IL-17),interleukin-4(IL-4),tumour necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)],cosmetic satisfaction,quality of life[dermatology life quality index(DLQI)]and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the 2 groups.Results Compared with the pre-treatment period,the colour,lesion texture,location,size,number of cysts,nodules and number of pimples and papules,serum IL-17,IL-4,TNF-α levels,DLQI scores and visual analogue scale(VAS)score swere significantly lower in the 2 groups after treatment(P<0.05),and were significantly lower in the observation group compared with the control group(P<0.05).The overall effective rate(96.67%)in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(83.33%)(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The treatment of acne vulgaris with the combination of compound cortex phellodendri fluid and fire acupuncture can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients,reduce the inflammatory reaction,improve the quality of life and beauty satisfaction,it's safe and effective.关键词
