Abstract
Objective To investigate the oral aesthetic value of 3D chairside computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing(CAD/CAM)all-ceramic onlays in repairing large defect of posterior tooth.Methods A total of 86 patients with large defect of posterior tooth who were admitted to the author's hospital from September 2019 to October 2022 were reviewed.41 patients treated with traditional impression all-ceramic restoration and 45 patients treated with CAD/CAM all-ceramic onlay restoration were defined as the control group and the observation group,respectively.Clinical indicators in the two groups were recorded.Repair effects in the two groups immediately and 6 months after operation were analyzed.Gingival crevicular fluid volume,the levels of alkaline phosphatase(ALP)and aspartate transaminase(AST),and oral health index in the two groups before repair and at 6 months after repair were recorded.Results The average tooth preparation time and average occlusion adjustment time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in repair effect between the two groups immediately after repair(P>0.05).Six months after repair,the proportions of grade A marginal fit,prosthesis integrity,prosthesis color,secondary caries,prosthesis shape,and food impaction in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Six months after repair,gingival crevicular fluid volume,ALP and AST levels in the observation group were smaller/lower than those in the control group.The calculus index-simplified score and debris index-simplified score were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Applying 3D chairside CAD/CAM all-ceramic onlays in repairing large defect of posterior tooth can achieve good aesthetic effects,and the operation time is short,with little influence on periodontal tissues,which is beneficial to oral hygiene.关键词
