Role of immunonutrients in the prevention and treatment of surgical infections
摘要
Abstract
Surgical infection is the most common postoperative complication in surgical procedures,posing significant challenges to patient recovery and survival.The immune function plays a crucial role in preventing infections and eliminating pathogens.Immunonutrients such as omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(ω-3 PUFA),glutamine,arginine,and ribonucleic acid are important factors in maintaining immune function and enhancing resistance,and they play a significant role in the prevention and treatment of surgical infections.As clinical nutrition continues to develop,the clinical application of immune nutrientsimmune nutrients has become more widespread and their clinical effects have been recognized,but there is still considerable controversy.When using immune nutrients,it is necessary to consider the nutritional status and disease state of different patients,as well as the individualized selection and dosage of immunonutrients.关键词
